The Catskills have always been known for unique gastro-finds, but as New York City chefs look to establish themselves outside of their pricey home market, a number of food entrepreneurs see renewed opportunities in the mountains.
Thanks to the area's well-developed agriculture industry with farm-to-table offerings, both hotels and restaurants now pay homage to the rural setting. Craft beer and spirit makers are flourishing in the area, reports The Wall Street Journal.
